Material and colour of the bedframe were fantastic. Love the wingback detail for a cozy feel. The bed arrived a bit ahead of schedule but well worth the wait (4 weeks). The spacing between where the boxspring rests and where the bottom of the headboard begins is about 20". Keep this in mind for overall use and nightstands as it leaves the overall height of the bed quite high off the floor. We didn't want there to be a gap at the back even though it could be hidden with pillows. It would allow things to slide back or fall behind the bed. (Something to consider if you are purchasing a thinner than normal mattress such as Casper or other boxed mattress companies). The back of the headboard is also not sealed with fabric...it is exposed to attached the headboard to the frame and the wings. It is up against a wall so it doesn't matter but if you are looking to float the bed in a room where the back would be seen I would not recommend this bed. (NOTE: There were 5 instruction manuals included in the delivery. They were similar and yet all somewhat different. Despite the steps...if you purchase this bed attached the wings to the headboard first. Make your frame and attach the siding. Than bring the two portions together for assembly. This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an off white platform wingback bed that wouldn’t cover too much of my windows, which is hard to come by. The bed feels very sturdy, it doesn’t creak or make any noises when you get in it. Bonus: so far it’s cat friendly, my cats have tried scratching it and you can’t tell at all (I got the polyester fabric). It probably took us about two hours to build it. After our last bed broke due to having the frame rails attaching to the headboard with screws into wood, I was really looking for a solid metal to metal attachment which this bed has. It was easy to put together, just be mindful of bending the hooks. We love the padding on all the pieces and the rails feel solid and comfortable enough to sit on. This bed is cute and does the job, but it's not totally "solid." I wish the headboard could be mounted lower and that it didn't shake when you're not being totally still on the bed. But overall it's good. Definitely better than having our mattress on the floor some more! Oh also, one part of the steel frame was damaged upon arrival. I bought both the navy and the mustard. These beds are gorgeous! They look like they came straight out of the design center! They look and feel very high end! I was nervous buying them just from a picture. The fabric is amazing too...not that cheap microfiber velvet. I am so happy with this purchase.
