Desk looks absolutely beautiful. Solid and sturdy. Putting it together wasn’t to hard . However some of the hardware and pre drilled holes where not aligning which was a pain in the you know what. Mounting it to the wall was a disaster! The hardware included to mount didn’t work. After drilling many holes in the wall and scratching the paint because it kept sliding, eventually we had to use our own hardware to mount. My advice, don’t use the hardware they provided for mounting. Use your own. One last tip: do not tighten the bolts of the shelves too hard, because the wood will end up cracking.. dana. Bought this desk in gray for the guestroom that had very tight space. It fits in nicely with the modern architecture of our home, and complements both the modern and the more tactile traditional types of furniture in that room. However, the packaging was subpar for a Blue Dot product. The box was full of 12 thick styrofoam pads, in which the corners of the furniture parts dug deep holes during shipping, covering the entire room in electrostatic pellets upon opening. It was as if it snowed in the room. Took a few turns with a vacuum cleaner to get the tiny pellets off the nooks of the furniture and from all over the room. Because of that, assembly took a few hours, instead of 30min. We ended up with 2 XL size garbage bags of styrofoam which is hard to dispose in an environmentally conscious way. Even IKEA does a better job of saving resources and eco-friendly packaging. Product is made in China. Blue Dot should put an effort into paying attention to ecofriendly recyclable packaging.. Timea.
