We purchased 2 sets of these for our part-time villa in Arizona. My husband is a "check-the-box" kind of guy. So, when putting these together, he definitely STRUGGLED. They did not go together smoothly. After assembling 1 - we considered returning them. He kept going...Once assembled, the look, comfort and purpose outweighed the cumbersome effort to assemble. I'm sitting in one for the first time while writing this review. There is not much support on the lower back, but otherwise, the upper back support is firm. The stool feels solid. The material looks nice and modern. We would not purchase again based on the assembly process. 1 of the 4 stool backs appears higher than the other 3, which is annoying and probably has something to do with the poor assembly. An upholstered seat and back work the curves and overlap just to create a chair that invites you to sit down and stay awhile. The channel stitch detail may not improve the aerodynamics but it sure looks swell with a color-coordinated powder-coated steel sled base.

I was very surprised at the quality of these stools and quite frankly really disappointed with Blu Dot. Whoever predrilled the holes did not make them very easy to find as the world's tiniest hole was poked through the fabric. I literally had to cut the fabric to get find the holes which by the way did not line up properly with the holes on the base! Love them! I’ve been looking for a bar stool that would replace our old ones and these worked out great! On trend boucle, comfortable, sleek and not to mention, great buy at only a little over 100 each. I did not give it a five star because assembly was a little tricky(screw hole alignment )as is often the case with foreign made products.
