Beautiful cabinet. The color is more burgundy than red. It did arrive with minor damage (chipped paint and a few scratches) that looks to have come from the manufacturer, not shipping. It is minor enough that I am keeping it. I put it together alone with no issues. Take your time and follow the instructions. Very happy with this china cabinet. It is well made and looks beautiful. The only reason I gave it a 4 is that one of the legs was faulty and needs to be replaced. Customer service was wonderful and easy to work with, they were very responsive. However, the replacement part won't be shipped for over a month after we purchased it.
