This bookcase brings a classic silhouette with updated construction to your main bedroom or living room. It's crafted with a solid and engineered wood frame, and it rests on black-finished iron legs with gold foot caps for a mid-century modern look. The acacia wood surface features a patchwork of woodgrains for added depth across the five shelf tiers. This vertical design creates plenty of space to show off your favorite plants and books while maintaining a clean-lined profile. Plus, it includes a tip-over restraint device for added stability within your home.
We searched online and in stores for a long time before landing on the Dakota bookcase, and I'm glad we took our time. We bought two. They're well-built and higher quality than I expected. The wood grain is unusual, but harmonious and not distracting. The legs give them a kind of finished appearance that's perfect in our 1960's apartment. They come assembled - you only have to add the feet - and with the "white glove" service, the guys delivered, set them up and took away all the packing in a jiffy. The only thing I would add is a leveling knob at the bottom of the legs. Our 1960s apartment doesn't have very level floors and it took some futzing with pads to get them even.. Anonymous.
