The back legs aren’t protected, and mine arrived cracked. The first one I received had a completely broken leg and had to be returned. Given the size and weight of the box, this feels like an avoidable issue. The reclining mechanism is a bit stiff at first and can catch you off guard, but I expect that to improve with use. Overall, it’s an elegant chair that fits well with different decor styles. One heads-up: unpacking takes some effort. Very nice chair. Very plush. I am 6 ft and the support on my neck and head feels perfect. I’ve always loved the Vala chair and I can definitely see that was the influence here. I purchased for a very good sale price and it feels like an absolute steal. Site says it is top grain leather, if it is, it has a lot of finishing on the top as evident by how uniform the grain is.
