This piece was exactly what I was looking for to add to our dining area (which could double as a sunroom-LOTS of sun).. I wanted a piece that was like my Castlery Cliff shelving unit but could also allow the sunlight to pass through. This piece doesn't feel heavy in the room (with our heavy Dutch custom made dining table)

One incorrect part shipped with this unit has made it almost unusable because the glass shelf is unsupported. Customer service insisted that I disassemble, repack, and send the entire unit back -- at my risk, before they would send a replacement unit. Of course, no assurance replacement won't have the same or another defect. They would not send the proper part -- even though they the item in stock and could have done that. Alternatively - they offered a small discount in the price. Be aware! if something is wrong with this product, as a practical matter -- you'll likely have to accept as is -- and settle for a small price discount as your sole remedy.
