There is a tradeoff between style and stability. You won't be able to sit on this table without it tipping all the way over. Obviously, there's no reason to sit on a table; just setting expectations. Otherwise it's absolutely stable enough for dining and such. The markings on the surface are obviously intentional and meant to evoke an industrial feel. There is a blotchy shine or lamination on the surface that I'm not sure if it should be scrubbed off or ignored (it's not painfully obvious). This table is pretty great although it stains very easily, almost like there is no sealer on it. The other negative is we kept having problems with Wayfair sending us the right one. This was for a cabin so each time it was a wrong order, it was another drive that was wasted. Wayfair really didn't do much to compensate. Paid for gas here and there, but it truly was ridiculous... almost stopped doing business with them as a result. Buyer beware: you will need to deal with a freight company.. Raci. Kirkland, WA.
