Perfect for what I needed to complete the space. Ideal weight so that it can support items that get set down on the edge like a laptop and will not shift. The base is metal and attaches to the top piece easily with 4 bolts. Took me 5 minutes to assemble and set in place alone, but would recommend two people just because of the weight. I would have given this 5 stars but the base is scratched and will require me to find some white touch-up paint. Otherwise, I recommend this product.
