Clean with a slightly damp, soft cloth. To remove dirt and fingerprints, use a quality cleaner formulated for wood furniture. Wipe completely dry with a soft cloth in the direction of the wood grain. Paper cord is a natural material that will last for years and is designed to patina over time. Act quickly with spills. Remove as much of the fluid as possible with a soft cloth and soap solution (made from 1.5 tbsp soap flakes mixed with 5 liters of lukewarm water), and blot the affected area. Do not rub the surface. Avoid water as much as possible, as it will increase the wear of the material, and color transfer may occur. Limit daily cleaning to gentle use of a soft brush and vacuum only.
