Thinking of returning the pair of chairs. I am a furniture maker, and noticed that the wood framework is mixed wood toned with a tinted lacquer, not ash as advertised. The wood grain and appearance are very different than the website photos. Be careful reading the description. The lower cushion is intregal to the chair and not removable. Ability to turn the seat cushion over extends the life of the cushion. Having a seat cushion that is upholstered only on one side is indicative of cheap manufacturing. As some have noted, it is very firm. They are not small chairs, so keep that in mind when purchasing. Delivery was prompt, and no assembly necessary on this item.

This is a really great chair. We’re tall and it fits us well. It's well designed, modern but not so modern that it’ll be out of date in a year. And it’s really comfortable. That said, this is not a slouchy, curl-up-in kind of chair. It’s more upright.
