I love these chairs. They are large, deep and comfortable. The textured upholstery is textured and reminds me of a thick, soft, tweed-like sweater. It appears to have a brown, cream and tan mix. It is medium in firmness and some cushion in the back and the arms. It comes with a pillow, which provides extra back support and has a removable cover for easy cleaning. The swivel is smooth. The seat cushion is not removable. I love the arms on the chair which is the widest part of the chair. The base is not as wide so it didn't take up as much room as I thought it would.
