I bought this table in February. In October, the table collapsed. I had noticed it was wobbling, which I thought was strange because it never had a wobble before. I got on the floor and poked it and it collapsed. The wooden part of the table (which is two heavy, firmly-attached pieces) appeared to be well constructed. You attach the metal legs to the table via some metal hardware. The issue is that the hardware actually attaches to four slats of wood that are attached to the bottom of the table. Upon closer inspection, the slats themselves are attached to the table via wood glue and some small screws. This table collapsing could have crushed my foot or hand or even worse, hurt one of my pets. I contacted All Modern- the manufacturer was willing to offer me a replacement, which I did not want because I would not trust it to be well-made. The only way I could get a full refund would be to package up the broken table and have them pick it up. This would be an ordeal given that this was a 100 pound table, that I would have to buy shipping materials, and also stay home from work for pickup. I offered four or five other potential solutions: they could send me shipping materials, they could pick up the table without it being packed up, they could send whatever investigator to look at it in my house-they would not do any of these other options. All I wanted was a refund plus the cost of hiring someone to haul the junk away, which they would not do. The best I could do was a 50% refund if I kept the (dangerous) table.
