I was excited about the chair but the color is not black, it is dark gray/charcoal. Maybe the cream one looks better on this fabric but this one looked cheap. Also, the wheels were tricky to put on and after managing to get them on I could not move around easily (one wheel did not rotate and marked my floor).

The chair has some nicks on the gold frame. You can't see them once built, but it looks like shoddy design. The gray is much lighter than appears in the photos. Overall it works for me but I can't recommend it at this price point.

Cheaply made. Do not purchase. Chair broke after one year. The seat completely detached from the base. I called customer service to ask for a warranty replacement and they said the chair is only returnable for 30 days. After that there is nothing they can do. Waste of money.
