We bought this as a replacement for a very modern sectional that had vinyl covering - and the problem was that the vinyl was wearing much faster than we had expected. So, this new sectional is more traditional, not as fancy, not tremendously comfortable (need back support), but covered in a fabric that we hope lasts longer. We'll see.
