Small Oval Cork Box

Small boxes are what keep a nightstand from turning into a pile, and this one does the job in a footprint that barely registers. Rings, cufflinks and the odds that collect through the week go in and stay put. Set it on a desk, a dresser or a shelf where it reads as an object first.

Exactly what I was looking for!. Sherri. Columbus, OH. Mon Dec 04 2023

Keep smaller items organized with this decorative canister, that leans into its high contrast by pairing a sleek silhouette with a rough, rock-hewn lid. Crafted from black lava stone, this box features a cylindrical design with a fully removable lid. The lid has a rough, textured design that creates a counterpoint against the rest of the design, and adds in an organic element. This piece measures 4.75' ' high and 4' ' in diameter, so it's easy to fit onto a shelf or table, and is best for smaller items.

Oval shapes feel softer than square ones, and at this size the difference matters, since the box reads as a found object rather than a container. Alabaster gives it a translucence that shifts through the day as light moves across a dresser. Keep rings, studs or a single keepsake inside.
