We love this lamp. It was immediately apparent that it was of a much higher quality than similar, cheaper lamps, and very much worth the price. Attaching the post to the base was a challenge. The included wrench was nice, but awkward given the limited angle afforded by the base. I had a very hard time getting the post tight and perpendicular to the base. Updated Aug 7 2019: got a replacement and it looked perfect on our living room. The shade is lower than I imagined. We put in warm glow bulb so it feels comfortable at night (no glaring white tone). Overall it took much longer but I’m glad our replacement finally arrived so up the star to 4 (would have been 5 otherwise). Ordered this back in January and arrived with damaged base. I waited until now (mid July) when the base was supposed to have been delivered. Except that it was not delivered. I will be asking for a replacement instead (apparently it’s faster). Beautiful lamp, bigger than expected but fits my space fine. Quality is pretty good, though the switch is off a bit and the dimmer is note great with the LED bulb (flickers on low). Also, assembly takes two people and the directions are so-so. We did receive the product far later than advertised and the color was black not a mixture of brass and black, like on the site. The lamp is OK, but the build quality is poor. The metal frame for the shade doesn’t attach securely and stays crooked. I had to use tape to keep it straight. The dimmer is placed about a foot from the lamp, so if you mount it on the wall, you end up with a big black box hanging below it. It looks bad. I expected more. This is a Wayfair product, not AllModern. AllModern is just Wayfair with different branding to seem more premium. Shipping was rough. The styrofoam shattered into tiny pieces and got everywhere.
