I wish the inside was filled with cotton as well instead of polyester but this insert's cover was cotton which felt great! Lightweight & warm & it's a down (feather) alternative which means no feather filling & no birds being violently plucked of their natural coats.. the feather/down industry doesn't use pain killer to the birds either & down is the little feathers on the birds' chests to keep THEM and their babies & eggs warm, not us.. We don't need another animal's coat to be warm at night, we have our own methods and this duvet insert is perfect for a lightweight, fluffy, warm topping on the cake that is our bed lol!

This comforter is very hot and is not appropriate for summer use. It is also somewhat heavy, which some folks may find comforting. I would like to return it; however I am not sure how I’d get it back into the small bag it comes in.

For being advertised as "Year Round Warmth", and the fill count being what it is, its surprisingly lightweight. The photos are misleading. If you're looking for something lightweight and decently warm, this will be great for you. If you're looking for a thick fluffy and heavy comforter to keep you warm during the cold months, then you should probably look elsewhere.
