Beware: the pictures make this fixture look like it's matte black. If you are hoping that this light will compliment black hardware or other black details in the room you will be disappointed. The only proper term for this finish is GUNMETAL. It is shiny, gray, and is more of a dark stainless finish. The light itself is well made and seems like it will hold up over time.
