Fixture is beautiful in person. Very sleek and modern. Assembly started out difficult as we tried to get the globe on the base of the fixture we were unable to get our hands inside the globe because it was too narrow, then we discovered the black apparatus that was included that took care of that process by attaching it to the end cap piece and screwing it in the globe. The light itself is interesting. Where the stone discs were cut, the stone was quite rough - I would have expected a finer finish. It is covered when installed, so more an issue of quality rather than aesthetics. I liked the light but it turned out I did not have enough wire to move the light fixture to where I wanted it - it would do best when it's not so far above your head that you look up to it, rather it would look good where it's just a bit above eye level..
