The bed itself seems nice, however the contractor through Angi's assembled the bed wrong. The top bunk had missing pieces, split wood from screwing nails too tightly, and an unsecured rail. I've spoken with 2 customer service reps with ALLMODERN who recommended having Angi's return and try to repair what the first contractor did. Of course, the new contractor refused to take the risk to 'repair' was the original contractor did. It's been weeks since I've called this in. Update 11/15/24: The company has still not replaced both parts of the bed that was misassembled. I would like a full refund and to have this box picked up. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service and lack of follow up/communication. I would also like a refund of the Angi's service fee, who assembled and damaged the bed while attempting to put it up. Please contact me to confirm receipt of this email, as well as a refund.

I read a lot of the reviews and they all complained about how hard it was to put together. I find all those reviews to be off. yes it took time but it was not that difficult. maybe I found it easier cause my 5 year old was helping me put it together.

This is great once assembled. I ordered the blue and color is true to picture. It is a challenge to assemble. Every slat in the head and foot board and side slats need to be put together. Lots of dowel connections, to which I added glue. Each leg has a slightly different set of slits/slots for connecting the side boards or the top rails--and it is easy to assemble them wrong, which I did with almost every set of two. The diagrams illustrate the different slit/slot patterns for the different head and foot boards--you need to follow the guide very carefully. My son was helping and laid them out, supposedly correctly, but in fact not. So we assembled, disassembled and reassembled a number of times until we got it right. But once complete, a very sturdy piece--could have paid 4 times the price, and not gotten better quality. I guess you pay in assembly time, but if I saved that much, my time was several hundred $ per hour. So worth it.

I ordered 3 and hired two guys to put them together. It took them about 5 hours to assemble so I'm REALLY glad I didn't do it myself. That said, they are super sturdy and really cute. The kids love them and I love the look. Pros: Sturdy and attractivce Cons: TONS of assembly (but you knew that, right?!)
