I think it seemed cheap because it’s lightweight which is obviously what you want for a baby. The color is a nice simple beige. It goes with other Crane Baby items I have for my baby in his nursery. The color is more of a cream colored than oatmeal but it’s still neutral enough. I’ve washed this several times and no rips whatsoever I do a gentle cold wash and very light tumble dry it does take a while though. The blanket is not heavy but not thin either perfect for my 12 month old especially when the AC is on. The blanket is big enough for me and my baby to cuddle after he wakes up from his naps..
