My living room is 14x16x10(H) and this fan takes up about half the width of the ceiling. LOVE the fan. Super sleek and quiet with nice airflow. I will say the installation was a bit more complicated than expected. The directions are generic for all fans, so you need to make adjustments if you don't have the light fixture option. Also, it was difficult to thread the wires and the pin through the down rod. Great fan once it actually got up. We had a really difficult time affixing the fan base to the mounting plate. Took us about an hour to finally get it there. The fan is fantastic, and works great with google assistant. The breeze option for fan speed is really nice too. Some people have complained about the app, but I've had no issues with it. That said, after the first few days I stopped using it because it works so easily with voice command through google assistant! Construction is very nice, and very sturdy with real wood blades. Renovating two guest bedrooms, both are 12x12'. This 44" fan feels like the right size for a 144 sq ft room. I ran the new Romex wire to a switched receptacle by the entry door. I like the remote with cradle which I attached to the wall next to the switch. So upon entry flipping the switch turns on the fan/light as well as a bedside lamp plugged into the half-hot receptacle. The fan light is not real bright but adequate for a bedroom and dimmable. For looks I give 5 stars, my wife gives it 4. Fan is not whisper quiet and install was a bit more difficult than other ceiling fans I have hung. I found the "safety cable" to be useless - unless I put a screw into my freshly painted ceiling to attach it (?) plus it was in the way so I used tin snips & got rid of it. Anyway the drawbacks didn't prevent me from buying a second one so the two rooms match, and I'm sure that second install will go more smoothly & quicker.. Daniel A.. Phoenix, AZ. Wed Sep 14 2022
