Beautiful bed frame, very soft texture, great color, looks exactly as pictured. Delivery time was timely, respectful and quick to setup the frame without any issues. Only feedback regarding frame is that slats should be about 2” apart for supporting a mattress without a box spring - these are more like 4” apart, so we will have to add slats or get a low box spring base. Updating my review after having it almost a year. It's a beautiful, solid looking bed. I used their setup service, so can't comment on how hard or easy it was to set up. The set up guy was sweet, fast & did a great job. Only original issue was strong chemical smell of the linen material on the headboard, which took months to off-gas fully. And now after having it less than a year it's making a strange sound when I move, so that's a bummer. We added a 9” box spring and have a 10” purple mattress on top; this gave a good height and I would recommend no lower then 18-20” because then you would see the non decorative slat on the headboard. The only issue, and this was in a previous review is that with the Cal King there is a few inches extra length. You don’t notice when the bed is made up but in order to keep your pillows from sliding off the bed we pushed the decorative pillows down between the mattress and headboard. I liked the piece enough to make the concession and maybe in the future we would build a 2x2 frame and add fabric to make an end piece to fit in here. If you push the mattress and box spring up to the head of the bed then you get the extra inches at the foot which is very obvious.
