This is a very beautiful, high quality, chair. It is on the heavy side because I believe it is solid wood. It is finished with a smooth shiny coating. It is very sturdy and would complement many decors. It would be great as an extra chair when company comes. Pull out this beauty instead of the rickety one you have been meaning to replace.
