The wood looks nice, much nicer than others that I've seen, and I like that the side rails are complete pieces, as opposed to two separate pieces that you put together to run the full length of the sides. I wish the bed had a little bit of a recess where the mattress goes so that it stays in place better rather than being completely flat. Our bed did arrive with a dent in the top of the side rail, but it isn't visible when the bedding is on so decided to live with it rather than trying to have it replaced.
