RIEDEL Extreme Cabernet Wine Glass

The Riddle cabernet glasses were perfect, elegant and sturdy yet light. Great wine glasses!

I love Riedel wine glasses and have wanted these particular glasses for years. The price was hard to beat, so I pounced!

These wine glasses are HUGE! The picture of this item lead me to believe the dimensions were different than they were. I thought they would be taller than they were wide. I was incorrect. The base of the wine glass is a bit like a balloon glass that then tapers a classic Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon wine glass shape. I believe these glasses hold ~ 29oz. Be sure to double check that that size is what you're looking for. The quality of these glasses is pretty good but not what I remember from the older leaded crystal Riedel. Not bad at all, just different and with a different tone and feel. If I had my druthers, I think I would prefer the older style but that could also be due to the fact that I found these glasses a bit thin for my liking. These are good glasses but they were not for me.

Riedel glasses are just so beautiful

If you drink Cabernet there is no other glass you want to drink it in this glass. It is thin glass so feels expensive and there is a large area to swirl and expose it to air!! I had broken two over 5 years so this was a perfect purchase!
