Sadly this did not work on our mantel and we had to return it. The clips were not as wide as i expected.

It's a great way to hang stockings....neat, solid,... sturdy construction...great quality.

This is exactly what I hoped for. It’s long enough to fit all my stockings and sturdy enough to hold them after they were filled! I love the simplicity of it as it doesn’t compete for attention with the stockings or the other decor. The clips held perfectly! So much more sturdy than the other holders I’d had. I love the mantle clip bar! It hugs the mantle edge so tightly, is adjustable, and very sturdy. I didn’t want to put holes or hooks in my mantle, and this is a great damage-free way to enjoy Christmas stockings!
