Just as described. It is good looking (as far as trash cans go). I wish it took regular over the counter bags. Their bags are too expensive. AND I also wish it had a foot pedal on each of the 2 ends. only because of my placement. I could operate it from either side. Why is it I'm always on the wrong side It seems sturdy and well-made and is the best looking trash can I've had.

This trash can is great! It looks beautiful and works perfectly, just as described. I love the way the bags fit in and are out of sight.

Yes, it is little pricey, but well worth it. Opens and closes quietly. Uses regular trash bags. Keeps the dog out. Very neat and tidy.

Space saver and well designed. No complaints here. Looks good and is finger print resistant. In addition, it keeps the smell in with the retractable lid

This is a great trash can. Fits perfectly in my kitchen and keeps my pup out of the trash. Regular trash bags fit, but don't stay looped under well.

I ordered this product to fit under an edge of my countertop that overhung the cabinets. All other garbage can lids swung up and hit the counter top. This one is perfect, with the butterfly opening. It works smoothly and it's extremely quiet when closing. Also, the bag fits on the inside of the can, so unsightly bag hanging out.

Though more expensive, my limited narrow space was crying out for this can. It is perfect and the only issue I have with it is its odd trash bag size. They offer trash bags made-to-size for it, but I continue using the standard Tall Kitchen size, even though their tops/tapes overflow the top rim of the inner can (they do not show on the outside). No binding or interference with the buttlerfly mechanism to report. And, it's Newf-proof; my big dogs can't stick their noses where they don't belong anymore. In sum, a winner.

I read a lot of reviews on various styles of Simplehuman trash cans. I decided on this one because it is sleek and got a lot of good reviews. The butterfly lid makes all the difference. It is not bulky like other types of lids and opens and shuts effortlessly. I do not cringe when I open it, like the other monster lid types. It is a pleasure to use.

Works well, decent size, doesn't require special liners although they are very nice. Only issue is that the lid has started squeaking as it closes, after just a month or so of use. Haven't tried to fix it yet..not sure where the wd-40 should go.
