About the Designer
Tassilo von Grolman (1942 - )
Born in 1942, Tassilo von Grolman first trained as a machinist at AEG before attending the Kassel Institute of Design. Subsequently he gathered valuable experience while working with advertising agencies and architectural companies. He established his own company in 1975, and since then has been active in the design of product, packaging and corporate design. He has received numerous awards for his work.
The enjoyment of coffee as part of our culture, and awareness of its tradition, was the inspiration that guided Tassilo von Grolman through the design process of the coffee maker. Simply place finely ground coffee beans, pour boiled water to capacity, and let the aroma unfold. After brewing and removal of the sieve, the bitterns are also removed, and it is all done in an ecologically friendly manner, without filter bags.
