Quality build, sturdy, great looking, nice leather but firm. I was a bit surprised that it was not as deep as I thought it would be - but that is my fault for not paying enough attention to the dimensions on the website as I was more worried about the width at the foot of a king bed (and the 55" is perfect as far as that goes).
