It is more of a dark cherry than espresso color. The crib is also slightly smaller than normal, therefore a mattress may be more difficult to find. Service Review Great fast delivery. CDB from Arlington, VA	1.0 5/5/2011 does not last We bought this crib for our son who is 2 now. He really only used it for about a year before we started having problems. When we moved the mattress to the lowest position, a screw got stuck and broke off and now we are not able to raise it back up for baby #2. Also, several times recently large screws have just fallen out of their holes and we found 1 in the crib and our son was holding it, the other on the floor. We also had to get rid of the matching changing table bc two drawers broke and the section that holds the changing "table" broke as well. We were able to get replacement parts for one of the drawers for free because it was within the first year. But when it broke again, we would have had to pay over $100 for[...] replacement parts. Installation was a zip, bed is sturdy and product quality is just what I expected. Now, we just have to wait on the baby to use it!
