Born in the Netherlands in 1963, Marcel Wanders has made a great impact in contemporary Dutch design with his architectural and interior design projects. He graduated from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988 and was among the generation of designers and conceptual artists that formed the Droog design collective in the 1990s. Wanders has won numerous awards and his products are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Vitra Design Museum. He is a co-founder and art director of the design company Moooi, which originated from his old company, Wanders Wonders.
