Love This Trash Can!
Katherine from Tolland, CT– Verified Buyer
Bought this after my daughters-in-law kidded me on the holidays about our old plastic one where the cover kept falling off. I didn't want to pay the price for the stainless ones but wanted one that was easy to use, cover stayed on and looked nice. It had to have a flat back for the location. This can closes very quietly, is attractive and has a ring that holds the bag in place so it doesn't get pushed down into the can. Very happy with this purchase and my daughters no longer have any complaints.

I'm using this as a kitchen waste can. It was easy to assemble, arrived in perfect condition, is very rugged and stylish. The soft-close feature is wonderful - no lid slamming down when it closes! Bag holding ring works a treat; bag will not slip down into can. Sometimes interferes with closing, but a simple nudge of the lid brings it down softly and quietly - not a major issue. When nearly empty, can may move a bit upon opening, but once there's a bit of weight in it, that disappears... just a minor quibble. It's quite unobtrusive in my kitchen, and the looks compliment my appliances.

I purchased this trashcan based on reviews. You simply have to assemble the lid/bag ring to the top of the can, and you are good to go. The finish is not quite as vivid as the photos depict; however, it is a nice color -- a sort of brushed bronze/brownish plastic, but a bit on the cheap-looking side. Mine has a flaw on the top of the lid where there is a white spot in the plastic. Quite distracting from the overall looks of the receptacle, as it is the first thing I notice every time I look at it, but perhaps a brown marker will do the trick. The bag ring is very effective in holding the bags in place. The can fits nicely into the space intended in my kitchen. Sterlite makes a shiny bronze plastic 13 gallon can that is a bit cheaper in price and quite nice looking, but I don't know if it is a step-on can. This can fits my needs, but I cannot give it more than 3 starts because of the lid flaw on mine.
It's not easy to find a "bronze" waste can.

I thought it would be nice to have a trash can that blended with our bronze fixtures in our new (to us) home. That may sound silly but it's the little things sometimes.
Nice but unclear assembly instructions

I purchased the bronze trash can and love the color! It is a great size and it fits perfectly in my kitchen. I did have a difficult time attaching the lid when I first received it. The assembly instructions have no words and the drawings are not helpful. When I attempted to attached the lid the first time, I had a lot of trouble fixing it. Other than that, once I finally got the lid attached correctly, it worked out perfectly!
Hard to put together

The instructions for this trash can are pretty terrible. It took me almost an hour to figure out how to put it lid on properly so the step worked. Once I finally figured that out, the lid is kinda funky and takes a long time to close once you let go of the step. Other than that, it's a great trash can.

The bronze color is a refreshing option to black or silver. Can is very sturdy and fits your standard 13-gallon bag very snugly. Only thing is the top can get hung open esp upon first assembly and subsequent bag changes, due to improper hinge hole alignment. We always think we've broken it, but no! Had it for a month now, hope to keep it for many years.
Umbra Wast Can

I love the color and design (attractive sitting out) and that it's hands free without being battery operated like the more expensive versions. I realy like the way garbage bags are secured at the top so they down fall down into the can. The only drawback is it's not weighted well at the bottom. So when you use the foot lift, it'll move forward on you. Overall I'm very happy with it and would recommend it.
Does the job and looks nice too
Corina from Rochester, MN
I'd read reviews from others complaining about it falling toward you when opening it, but I've never had this problem, even when it's empty. It does get that dusty look to it easily, but all plastic ones seem to. I'm happy with it and would recommend it if you're looking for something in a different color to go with your style better than the normal black or silver.
Kitchen Trash Can

I like the trashcan, it goes perfectly with my kitchen decor; however, I was a little disappointed when I noticed it had some discolorations in a few spots. Other than that I am pleased with the product.
