This is probably one of those things that we say "you get what you pay for". It is supposed to be able to be painted - well, it is but not without some work: sanding and two coats of KILZ still showed some cratering. After two finishing coats of latex acrylic it looked OK. I had painted the wood before assembly, so it was laid out for about a week and some of the longer pieces that were propped up began to curve. As a result, when I began assembly, one peg and hole were slightly misaligned: I hammered it into place but in the process the piece cracked. After patching and repainting it was barely noticeable. Regarding attachment to the bed-frame: the predrilled holes did not align with any of the holes in our bed-frame - be prepared to drill new holes. When all is said and done, it is an attractive headboard, especially considering the price.

We really like the headboard we ordered. It looks really good and was pretty simple to assemble. We only have a metal frame, and I will tell you that even though the details explain that the board can be bolted to any frame, it was extremely difficult to attach it to our metal frame. We were able to do it by creating new holes and using larger screws (that we thankfully had laying around in the house) but the top of the headboard is not very sturdy. The assembly instructions indicate that the frame can be screwed in to your wooden platform bed - I think that would be the ideal situation.
Nice enough, but not great for a FULL sized bed?

I would give this 3 & 1/2 stars if I could. This is a decent enough headboard...does the job and looks pretty much just as pictured. My issue is that, though this is advertised as a full/queen sized headboard, it appears that this would be better suited for a queen sized bed only. I have a full sized bed and my mattress doesn't really come close to being in line with the edges of the headboard...there are several inches of headboard showing on both sides of the bed. If you can ignore the "extra" amount of headboard that show, then this will work for you. Also, this did not come with the proper hardware to be able to attached this to a standard metal bed frame...screws seemed more suited to drill into a wooden bedframe/ base. I'll keep it, but only because I don't feel like the hassle of having to ship it back.

Priced right. Easy to assemble. Need to glue to make it more sturdy. Reminder, there are two sets of screws. One longer than the other. Use correct ones and you won' have any problems with protruding screws.

This was purchased for my teenaged daughter's bedroom. I wanted a nice look without spending alot of money. It serves the intended purpose just perfectly. Once she moves out, this will become the guest bedroom. It fits in with the decor just fine now (the bedroom walls are painted purple, my daughters' favorite color) and because of the white color, it will go great with any color. Yes, I will repaint the walls. LOL. Would recommend this.
Good for the price

Assembly was relatively easy. Bought for guest room. Would be nice if came with bolts to attach to a metal bed frame. Had to buy them. It is a little wobbly at top. when sitting on bed it hits the wall so had to stick on felt pieces so it doesn't hit wall. Definitely worth the low price for a guest room though. Probably wouldn't buy for every day.

This headboard was easy to assemble (30 minutes for my husband). But follow the instructions and don't use a drill. This is particle board and will crack if you use a drill...hand tighten only. It's perfect for light use as in my guestroom but I don't think it would last long with regular use. Also note, there are no bolts to bolt it to the bed frame.

Purchased for my daughters new bed. Easy enough to put together, although we did screw a little to much & went thru the headboard on accident. A replacement piece was sent immediately. Looks lovely. Simple. Classic. White!

I ordered the chocolate Vito headboard. It doesn't look like particle board. However, it takes about 40 minutes to assemble. It did not come with nuts & bolts to attach to bed frame but picked them up at the local hardware store.
