I wanted to like it...

I put this light in my kitchen. It is not right for a kitchen. I wish the picture would have shown that the spandex fabric gathers at the bottom giving it a "ruffly" look. It will be coming down as soon as I find another light. Plus, the picture makes it look like the cord is black, but it is actually bright white.

Elegant and simple

I love the design and the way it diffuses the light the room. It sets the mood just right. The shade is very delicate. You do not want the electrician to place the shade after working on the "electrical" portion and then install the shade with dirty hands.

nice fixture

Looks great; matches our Sonneman floor lamp. Brightens up the dining area b/c we got the yellow cover. Neat that you can get other color covers too (which we did but haven't used yet). We have a contemporary table and chairs and the lines of the fixture and dining set look great together. Took 1 hour to assemble.
