About the Designer
Emmanuel Gallina France (1972 - )
Born in France in 1972. Currently working in collaboration with Antonio Citterio and partners since 1999. Art and design foundation courses in France, and Master in design from the Politecnico of Milan. After brief stages in various design studios in Milan, began the first work experience as a designer for Marco Piva in Milan. From 1997 collaboration with Progetti Srl (Among objects in production, the photo-holder "Napoli"). Work with Omikron Design (Lighting) and Covo. Participated in the Salone satellite '98, Opos '99, Young & design 2000, Opos 2001 and Opos 2002 (Milan). Final selection of Felissimo-Unesco competition 2002, exhibition in New-york and Paris. Spin-off 2003 exhibition, Koln.
Lampion was inspired by colored paper lanterns and are wonderfully festive, for both exteriors and interiors. It can be hung from the branches of a tree, from a wall - by using the transparent plastic supports - or simply placed on the ground or table. The exterior version comes with a neoprene mains cable and both models use bulbs to provide excellent light with energy savings.
