Barcelona, 1967. This Catalan designer has created many urban elements that are now livening up Spanish streets, and his work has been acknowledged with various industrial design awards. Milá was born in 1967 and studied architecture in Barcelona. He started working at the same time in the interior and industrial design studio of Miguel Milá (his father), and also collaborated with Luis Victory, with whom he already won the 2nd Castilla-La Mancha furniture award for their Arragón espiga clothes stand. His experience with little objects, which allowed him to control tightly every step of the project, seduced him and led him to study industrial design at Elisava. This new Nanimarquina project not only covers the floors but the walls as well, proposing a series of headboards for beds and decorating the wall of the bedroom with the same keys of innovative design, traditional manufacturing and fine materials as in the rest of the products sold by the brand, which is principally known for designing rugs. This series comprises three models, which leave an intimate and welcoming mark on the sleeping area. They are all held up on a support, designed by Gonzalo Milà, whose system is as simple as It''s effective: a fine, anodized aluminum rail that is attached to the wall and upon which the textile headboard is placed.
