Traditional:
Traditional upholstery pieces
have rolled or slightly curved
arms. These will also have
traditional details such as
nailheads or wood inlay along
the base and up the arms, or may
have tufted cushions. In
general, the feet are wooden
blocks and the back of the couch
is straight or slightly humped.
Modern/Contemporary:
These sets most often have sleek
track arms with straight lines
across the top and down the
arms. These pieces are very
simple without any extra padding
with cushions that are usually
flat and attached to the back.
Modern furniture can also come
in nontraditional shapes and
sizes.
Casual:
Casual upholstery is overstuffed
or looks fluffy in nature.

pillow top arms and seat
