About the Designer
Roberto Pamio & Renato Toso ''Steeped in rich Venetian tradition, Leucos and its designers impeccably blend Old World glass techniques with 21st century engineering.'' 1996 they founded their associated architectural and design studio and work on public projects. They also work with some of the most qualified companies Artemide, Estel, Leucos Stilwood, Rossi di Albizzate, Frighetto,Fly Line, North Sailes, Henry Lloyd, Venini, Cattelan Italia, Ali, Alpi, and Formica. They develop stands, exhibitions, stores and offices for different companies, taking care of their image and graphics. They have received several prizes such as the 1st prize at the national competition Tercas architecture in 2000 and 1st prize at the competition Young & Design in 2005. Their works have been exhibited in museums around the world, among which are the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Louvre in Paris and the MOMA in New York Roberto Pamio and Renato Toso took a very unique approach to designing the Sarasar Pendant. It provides downward and diffused light through a beaded translucent glass shade, creating unique lighting patterns on adjacent surfaces.
