Le Corbusier

Le Corbusier Considered by many to be the most influential designer of the 20th century, Le Corbusier is famous for his brilliant designs and iconic buildings, including the L'Esprit Nouveau Pavilion in Paris, Villa Savoye in Poissy, and Unité d'Habitation in Marseilles. Born Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris, in the 1920’s he changed his name to Le Corbusier, which he took from his grandfather.

Le Corbusier had a passion for design and spent a lot of time figuring out how to produce better living situations for the residents of crowded cities. Today, Le Corbusier remains famous for his contributions to modern architecture, and world-renowned in the five decades he spent as an accomplished designer.
