The Design
Eero Saarinen might be considered by some to be a purist when it came to his approach towards architecture and interior design. He sought the essential idea and reduced it to the most effective structural solution within an overall unity of design. When he designed his pedestal collection, including the Dining Table, Saarinen realized his ideal of formal unity: "Every significant piece of furniture from the past has a holistic structure." To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saarinen's revolutionary Tulip Collection, Knoll has introduced a platinum finish option and has reintroduced teak and rosewood tabletop finishes.

With a long history of design innovation for the home, workplace, and in textiles, Knoll continues to play a large part in the foundations of Modern Design. Founded in 1938 by Hans Knoll and continued after his death by his wife Florence Knoll, the company has produced a long line of award-winning and museum worthy designs from virtually every top designer in modern design.
Knoll believes good design is good business. Since its founding, Knoll has been recognized as a design leader worldwide, with products exhibited in major art museums spanning the globe, and more than 40 pieces in the permanent Design Collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Legendary designs such as the Womb Chair, the Tulip Chair, and the Barcelona Lounge Chair and Ottoman are instantly recognizable icons of the company.
In addition to Knoll’s commitment to design, Knoll is an industry leader in environmentally responsible practices. All manufacturing facilities in North America are ISO 14001-certified, and all Knoll architecture and design managers are required to attain LEED® Professional Accreditation, a rating system of the US Green Building council that is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance sustainable buildings.

Comments about Knoll ® Saarinen Round Dining Table:
This is a great table. It can be made to look transitional or really modern, depending on what you like. Also, it's not huge, so it fits in smaller spaces. And it looks great against bright colored walls.

Comments about Knoll ® Saarinen Round Dining Table:
Perfect for my family breakfast table, and for my young kids playdoh table. I am sitting at it as I type. Easy to clean (except ball point pen is a little tougher to get off than I would like). Can't go wrong with this one.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery guys were so nice. Professional. They even asked if they could wash their hands before touching the table since it is white.
