The stool is exactly as pictured. Very good quality. Easy to put together. Very sturdy.

Good, solid construction, nice finish. It is not quite high enough for my 27-month old to easily reach the faucet, but I did not want a higher stool because I was worried about her falling off. So it is fine for now, and she will grow into it soon. I messed up when I was assembling it (ok, I'm a girl), overscrewing some nuts and cracking the biggest part of the stool. Kidcraft was great and sent me a replacement part right away without seeing any sort of proof of purchase.

I bought this for a stop stool for the grandkids because of the larger platform. Unfortunatly it really does not have enough hight to help with what it was entended for. And it is not a real attractive design. I have a similer stool with same design but a much better apearance and taller. The kids love the storage compartment and don't smash little fingers. But still can not reach the counter.
