Kichler Grenoble Wall Lantern in Brushed Nickel

These are nice outside lights but they really don't look like the picture, they look a bit cheaper and they have no shine to them they are a dull brushed nickle no chome look on any of the light and the underneath is white.

I initially bought 3 of these for our new patio area (we have been renovating our house and updating it with a more modern aesthetic). When they first arrived, I was a little disappointed because the finish seemed a little duller than what was pictured on the website. However, I still really liked the modern lines of the sconce and that it can use a high wattage bulb. Now, after having them installed, I really love them. The finish looks really good - there are no really shiny parts like in the picture, but there is a nice sheen to them. I liked them enough that I ordered two more for our lower patio. A couple of things not apparent from the picture: the interior finish of the sconce is white, not brushed nickel like the outside - I was surprised by this, but it doesn't really bother me. Also, a standard incandescent bulb will poke out from below the bottom rim of the sconce. I'm trying to find shorter bulbs in a high wattage that won't poke out. But, it's still fine with the regular bulbs - I'm currently using 150 watt bulbs - it's a lot of light, so I might reduce them, but it's nice to have the option of good lighting.

I purchased 4 of these lights for a kitchen remodel. I selected these lights over a competitors indoor model because the picture suggested that the rim and a band on the top were highly polished or even a chrome finish. This is not the case they are entirely brushed aluminum. Other than my initial disappointment, they are good looking and very light weight. I have not installed and I am considering returning for the less expensive competitors model, so I cannot comment on light output.

Great for BBQing at night, nice looking too.
