Dining Chairs We are very happy with these dining chairs. They took a little bit of time to put together, but it wasn't hard by any means. They are great quality and exactly what I wanted! |

very sturdy chairs The chairs arrived extremely quickly and were easy to put together. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that one of them has a side rail that doesn't quite line up perfectly. It doesn't affect the sturdiness, and my husband said he couldn't even see the gap, but it's something that other shoppers should be aware of. |

Great chairs! Easy to put together, nice color, and very sturdy. Highly recommend this product! Color is a little richer than that shown in the photos, but we knew that from the other reviews. |

Great chairs I recently remodelled my kitchen and was looking for new furniture for the breakfast nook. I found the perfect table at a furniture store, but didn't like the chairs (or their price) that were supposed to go with it. After searching online, I found these chairs and thought I'd order a pair to try. These exceeded my expectations! They are a very sturdy chair once put together--a process that took about 20 minutes per chair. I was planning to add seat cushions to them, but so far have found them comfortable enough to not require it. A couple of warnings: They are a flat black color, not a glossy finish. That's exactly what I wanted, but there may be prospective buyers who are looking for gloss. Also, the seat is deep. My 6'2" husband finds it comfortable, and I'm fine with it at 5'5", but my 10-year-old twins are unable to sit all the way back and lean against the chairback without having their legs sticking straight out in front of them. They complain the chairs are uncomfortable, but a couple of years and a growth spurt will fix that problem. I'm back to the website today to order more of these to complete my breakfast nook. |

decent quality I ended up ignoring the included assembly directions, which seemed very awkward to me. I found it much easier to loosely bolt the legs to the seat, insert the stretcher bars with a dab of wood glue in the holes, tighten the bolts, and finally screw the stretcher bars in place. Once I figured that out, the chairs went together quickly. The assembled chairs are quite sturdy. Note that the included hardware bag for each chair contained an extra piece of each different kind. If you haven't already seen the reviews for this set on other web sites, beware that the color of the finish is much darker and more red than is pictured. It's basically a reddish "mission oak" or "cherry oak" finish, not a golden oak color. That said, the darker color was what I was looking for and I'm pleased by how well the set matches my other mission-style furniture. Also, beware that the wood is not oak at all, but parawood finished to look like oak. |

Nice chairs; be careful putting together These chairs (and the table that matches) are comfortable and look very nice. You do need to be careful when putting them together, though, as the bolts can be over-tightened, causing the nuts embedded in the wood to come loose. One of my chairs had a leg get loose and wobbly because of that, and I had to take it apart and figure out a way to glue the nut back in while still keeping the threads free of the glue--I used JB Weld, and it worked fine. Otherwise, I have no complaints. I like the chairs. |
