Designed by Charles and Ray Eames
Introduced over forty years ago, Eames Tables have helped to establish exciting new furniture that is just as fitting in the home as the contemporary office. Created with simple Cubist sensibilities, Eames Tables come in a variety of sizes and colors. This dining set includes an Eames Table and the Eames Molded Plastic Armchairs, for a classically modern dining room.

Charles and Ray Eames, always interested in new materials, saw in plastic the chance to form organic seat shells that conform to the body’s shape. The enduring forms and quality construction make the Molded Plastic Armchairs comfortable and durable.

THE DESIGN | FEATURES AT A GLANCE | DIMENSIONS | WHY BUY FROM US?

The Design:

  • In 1964, the office of Charles and Ray Eames designed a table with a single segmented base, constructed of modular units, that could support tops of different lengths and widths. The strength and versatility of the lean and simple base design makes it possible to produce tables in a wide range of sizes.

  • Charles and Ray Eames adapted molding techniques developed during World War II to mass produce this classic design. Available in side and armchair versions, today's Molded Plastic Chairs are true to the originals and are fully authentic, with updated materials to meet environmental requirements. Designed in 1948, it was the first plastic chair to be mass produced.

Herman Miller ®:

Herman Miller ® Herman Miller: The name is synonymous with innovation, design, operational excellence, smart application of technology, and social responsibility. Herman Miller, Inc. studies work and living environments and designs and delivers products and services that make these environments work better. Through problem-solving research and design, the company seeks to develop innovative solutions to real needs in working, healing, learning, and living environments.

Herman Miller began in 1923 as a manufacturer of traditional residential furniture, became a leader in "modern" furniture in the 1930s and 1940s; developed lasting ties through the 1950s with legendary industrial designers who led the company in new directions; transformed the office furniture industry with the first panel system in the 1960s; invented and refined ergonomic work seating in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s; reinvented the geometry of systems furniture in 2000, and is today the second largest office furniture company with customers and locations around the world. Their history of employee participation and ownership and technological innovation has long roots and continues to grow. They have always worked hard to be serious about both people and business. They look at their primary goal as creating great places to work.

George Nelson laid out five tenets of Herman Miller's design philosophy 50 years ago:

  • What you make is important.
  • Design is an integral part of the business.
  • The product must be honest.
  • You decide what you will make.
  • There is a market for good design.

While fashion and style have their place, the main criterion for a Herman Miller product has remained constant: Does it truly solve a problem that people care about in a way that improves upon other solutions, or pioneers a new and better answer altogether? The answer is Yes. More on Herman Miller ®...

Delivery Options Additional Information:
Curbside Delivery (Free!): If you select the Curbside Delivery option, you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your house (or wherever it's going). If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.

White Glove Bronze (Additional $99):
White Glove Bronze service provides two-man delivery, to inside the threshold of your residence. If you live in a home with a garage this means the product will be left in your garage. If you do not have a garage the product will be left in your front entrance, or mudroom. If you live in an apartment building or condo the product will be carried up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights please contact us*. The product will be left in the original packaging.

White Glove Gold (Additional $149):
White Glove Gold delivery service provides a two-man delivery team to place your purchase inside your residence in the room of your choice. This service includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights please contact us*. Once the product is in the room you desire, the shipper will unpack the product and provide basic setup that requires no tools (i.e. will set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other). The shipper will also remove and dispose of all packaging.

White Glove Platinum (Additional $199):
White Glove Platinum delivery service provides a two-man delivery team to place your purchase inside your residence in the room of your choice. This service includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights please contact us*. Once the product is in the room you desire, the shipper will unpack the product and provide light setup that requires basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other). The shipper will also remove and dispose of all packaging.

These types of delivery are different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that the product will arrive by a freight carrier (companies like Roadway, Yellow, ABF, Watkins, etc.). The most important thing to remember when accepting delivery is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.

*In all cases the shipper will not hookup any electrical or component wires. Having items carried up more than 25 steps and longer assembly periods are available as additional services which would require additional charges. Please contact us if you feel you need these services.
