Heller 1000- - Mario Bellini Chair

Practical yet stylish, this multi-faceted and adaptable injection molded stacking chair is sure to accentuate the ambience in any indoor/outdoor commercial, institutional or residential setting. This chair is constructed of one piece injection molding of modified, fiberglass reinforced polypropylene with a lightly textured, fully washable surface. The flexing action of the back provides a high degree of comfort for anyone sitting in this elegant chair. For your cherished hardwood floors, the legs are provided with pads to eliminate scratches. Meticulously designed, yet moderately priced, this comfortable and aesthetically pleasing chair will definitely be an eye-catcher.

For 40 years, the accomplished and much venerated designer Mario Bellini, has been a pioneer in industrial designs for such prominent companies as Olivetti, Cassina, Artemide, B&B Italia, Heller, Renault, Rosenthal, Vitra, and Yamaha. Bellini has earned several distinguished Compasso d'Oro awards including one in 2001 for The Bellini Chai. Bellini's simple, elegant solutions have been admired along with his ability to combine new technology with design.

We use this at a built in desk in our condo. It doesn't take up a lot of room and is very light weight and easy to move around. I love this chair. It is so stylish. I wish I needed more chairs because I am sure they stack beautifully. This would be my choice if I needed more chairs!

Backs of chairs have a cheap look. Two bumps under plastic for support, plus a rougher finish. The front and side look are so sleek that it was a bit disappointing, especially since the back is all that shows when chairs are around a table.

My husband and I took a chance and order these chairs having never seen them in person. [...]we are very pleased with them so far (we've had them one month). The only thing I was disappointed with is that one of the chairs seems to be unlevel. My husband says it's the floor but I think it is the chair. It's tough to say...we have slate floors. The chairs are surprisingly comfortable (for plastic) and are very attractive.
