So this was a great purchase, the couch is very large and surprisingly comfortable. I was a bit worried that because it's a convertible that it would be uncomfortable but I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is as a bed and as a couch.

I love this sofa. It is just what I needed--something attractive, black, pet friendly, and that can come in packages small enough to make it up my very narrow, very steep staircase from the late 1800's. I had it put together by a company that does nothing but put together furniture and it took them 25 minutes or so. The sofa stands up to 2 cats and a dog and it super comfortable to sit on and to sleep on. It is easy to vacuum and dirt wipes off with a damp cloth. I don't know if it would stand up to constant sitting; for example in a TV room, but for my office/guest room it is quite a find. I think it's all about expectations. If you expect the quality of a top of the line couch that costs several thousand dollars, you are going to be disappointed. However, if you understand what you are getting, then you will be pleasantly surprised.

My daughter came home to visit and slept on this couch for a week. She couldn't stop talking about how comfortable it was. Easy to convert into a bed and back into a couch. Comfortable to sit on and to sleep on. I LOVE it!!!!!
good size and comfortable

Got this couch for my fairly small living room. Conversion to a bed is a bit tricky for me but I usually have trouble with sofabeds like this so I don't hold it against the couch. Once it's a bed though it's very comfortable and easy to sleep on.
exactly as expected

the couch looks great, it's really comfortable, and the conversion from sofa to bed is fairly simple once you figure out how to swing it through.
