David studied Industrial Design before contributing to a number of architectural and interior design firms in Toronto. In 1999 he co-founded Stylegarage in the city's West Queen West neighborhood, which served as a retail outlet for his furniture designs, emphasizing raw materials, clean lines, and basic forms. After quickly gaining local notoriety for his contemporary, unfussy approach to furniture, David and his partners launched Gus* in 2001, taking his designs to a North American market and earning the "Best New Collection" distinction at the 2001 International Gift Fair in Manhattan. Collecting accolades ever since, David continues to serve as partner and Lead Designer at Gus*

We needed a bench in our entry that was narrow enough for the space. This one fit perfectly. It's well made and very attractive as well. We are very happy with the purchase.

Would have liked the bench to be a little taller but still love it as is.

This bench is easy to assemble and is a well made solid bench. My only criticism is the dark patterns on the surface feels like fake wood rather than natural wood.
P Bassel from Fort Worth, Texas
This bench is more handsome than the picture suggests. Really a stunning accent piece (and very practical). Assembly was very easy. I'd post a con, but I can't think of one!
Solid contemporary bench

This assembled easily and it's a solid bench. The only thing that keeps it from earning 5 stars is that the wood-grain on the veneer looks a tad bit too "stamped" for my preference, but that probably has as much to do with the fact that I have zebra-wood side tables, and of course, the match isn't exact.
i love it!
