About the Designer
David Podsiadlo David studied Industrial Design before contributing to a number of architectural and interior design firms in Toronto. In 1999 he co-founded Stylegarage in the city's West Queen West neighborhood, which served as a retail outlet for his furniture designs, emphasizing raw materials, clean lines, and basic forms. After quickly gaining local notoriety for his contemporary, unfussy approach to furniture, David and his partners launched Gus* in 2001, taking his designs to a North American market and earning the "Best New Collection" distinction at the 2001 International Gift Fair in Manhattan. Collecting accolades ever since, David continues to serve as partner and Lead Designer at Gus*

Love it! This table looks great in our kitchen! It didn't get 5 stars for two minor reasons. The pattern in the wood means that food can get into the crevice and make it harder to clean. Not a big deal in the scheme of how good it looks but still a little annoying. And the corners are quite sharp. I've banged my knee more than once. We have light wood throughout our kitchen and I was a little worried it wouldn't match. It doesn't, but it complements it so well and just looks fabulous. This will be a table that will be with us for life. |

Great table- no bench Maybe this seems obvious to everyone else but i failed to notice the bench does not come with the table. So it was a bummer to realize on delivery day. However I love the table and the delivery men put it together. Which I really appreciated. I have ordered 2 benches to go with it now! I'm excited to have it all together. |
